Man is configured in a way that he must worship something. He is created as a worship being. That is his purpose and it must be to Jesus; to declare the glory of God and to give pleasure to the King. Psalms 81:9, Deut 6:13, Luke 4:8, 1 sam7:3, matt4:10, Isa. 43:7.
The most valuable thing in the universe is God, and you must know that just because he has made you to worship Him doesn’t mean you will find Him lying around; you’ve got to search him out. Proverbs 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”
There is a mind that looks at what he has and says there is more, there can be more. In the scripture, it is called hunger and thirst. Your hunger creates a different class of living for you. If your sense of adventure dies, then you stop living.
In the natural, the people who make an impact are those who go beyond status-quo. Their thinking is crazy, it is beyond limits. The Wright brothers thought of a way to get to your destination faster and the aeroplane was invented. Zuckerberg is thinking of how to connect everyone in the world together. Albert Einstein said “my real gift is not the gift of genius but the gift of passionate curiosity.”
Some of you pray and ask for wisdom maybe three or four times and you know you haven’t started seeing it manifest in your life but you are done, you are tired and mad at God, telling him to keep it that you don’t need it anymore. God is already saved and he is wise forever and doesn’t need it, you’re the one at a loss. I am challenging that mind-set that actually makes you feel annoyed when you have not received something from God. What price have you paid?
The real question becomes “how badly do you want it?”
We see the power of the devotion of the Catholics; they take a vow to become celibate so they can worship God. You would see the Buddhist and the monks who have taken a vow to the monastery to spend all their lives in praying. They use their lives to pursue a higher wisdom, to find the solutions to mortality. Why can’t we chase like that? Those of us who have the real light, we chase after distractions. We go after things that have no value in them. We continually chase after anything that would distract us.
Evans Robert was always at the corner of his street praying for more of God and at the age of 26, he caused a great revival. In the days of our Fathers, Apostle Babalola would pray until the sweat on his body begins to float the leaves. There was a woman by the name Sophia in the era of Babalola, after every service she would gather the people going to a particular location, then she would hold hands with them and they would all translocate to their destination, and then she would come back for more people. They called her the minister for transport. They all had a curiosity that could not be satisfied; Matthew 5:6 ~ Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” The likes of Ian Clayton and Justin Abraham who planned to travel in the spirit together for a court session in heaven and they did. These and the seemingly little and Insignificant ones around you are experiencing God Real Time while you’re being distracted with Babylon and getting too busy for God. Isa. 55:6
Don’t be too tied to the earth, Strengthen your bond with God. Seek the Lord and you will find Him, knock persistently and the door will be opened to you. Everything that is valuable in the realm of the spirit, God has hidden. You would need to dig and labour for it. There has to be a form of sacrifice.
There is a prophetic edge filled with the life of God. Do not be full when you should be hungry. You stop journeying when you come to that place where you are satisfied. Nobody knows the extent of their potential. None of us knows fully what we are or what we shall be… Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: “But we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” 1 John 3:2
Psalms 132:4-5 says “I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.” Come into close proximity with the Lord.” There are far places in God that the soul can journey into. When you come into God, you will be planted and established in his will.
Do not let your hunger depart from you, but if you have lost it, you can ask the Lord to birth a fresh hunger within you; a fire than cannot be quenched.
I know that The Power of God is coming again in this generation, but it will not come without a passionate hunger and an intense search for God.
