Why do we think Jesus came? Why was He born and given to the Earth?
Jesus was given to the earth so that man would be redeemed. Everything written in the scripture is for your sake.
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. Heb1:5-7
In the beginning, Jesus was the only begotten of the Father, but after Christ came and died for us, he became the first begotten. If therefore there is a first begotten of the Father, it means that there are also other begotten. Therefore, that same instruction to the angels to worship the Son would be for the first, second, third…number of sons. The angels were originally his companions but not his equals and when He gave himself to the Father, He became His Son forever.
When Jesus came to earth, He was constantly in the will of the Father. All he wanted was to do the will of God, even till the end. In Luke 22:42, he said; Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done. Jesus was always talking about the Father’s will unlike Satan. The devil would say “I will” while Jesus says “your will”. Jesus chose righteousness and so his throne was established forever but the devil, because he was never in the will, iniquity was found in him.
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Hebrews 1:8.
Man is also in that place where he is consumed with himself. He prefers himself to other people and even to God. But God is bringing us back to that place where our will is consumed by his, to a place where it is his will over ours.
Recently I was telling the Lord to make me more like him, and He said to me; “Love your neighbor as yourself.” How do you love yourself? In that same measure, you are to love your neighbor. For instance, as funny as it sounds, if you serve yourself five pieces of meat, you are not to serve your neighbor any less. Funny right? After all you bought it with your money. True, but love sees otherwise. You are to prefer another to yourself, that is how His will operates. That is how to become.
We are getting rid of the constitution of self. It has to go because it is not in the will of the Father. God is teaching us himself. He doesn’t condemn any man that chooses to know him.
When I pray, I ask the Lord to shine his light on my path so that I can find my way back into His will because man has journeyed out of the will, and the path back has become very dark. It would take the help of the Holy Spirit to lead us back to him, but it is only if we are willing and we allow him to, for we truly do not know our way.
